Doubting Our Ability
Often if we see another species birth, they’ll just get on with it. Noises are likely to be more noises of power rather than distress. They know exactly what to do.
Human birth is often associated with distress and problems that need fixing and yet other mammals make it look much easier.
Are we faulty? Or actually is it more to do with our clever, often overthinking minds?
Is it our ability to fear it...or our ability to not trust it?
Perhaps it is our ability to over complicate it...or our ability to feel like we need to mess with it?
I love this quote from Ina May and it’s definitely food for thought
